Well...He's simply wonderful, really! He created me and all of my brethren, and His word shines so true. All his creations are blessed with his magnificent, and He Himself is kind and caring...He uses his powers to make the world a better place, and...He's simply indescribable in his loveliness, that is what He's like.

[There's a pause on her end, as if she's debating something. Silence. Then-]
The ANGELs back home don't have a "Lord." They have a goddess. Someone I've never even heard of before.
[A pause. She hates talking about herself and being a Seer around other people who... well, who aren't from her world. Even people who are, she doesn't talk about it unless they're ANGELs.]
They talk about her a lot. What she did. At least, what they can remember. She's asleep now. She's been asleep for centuries. Most ANGELs don't remember her other than her name because it's been that long.
[Another pause. This is hard. And stupid. God, she doesn't know where she's going with this. What is she even trying to say?]
I just don't get how they still... [If he could see her, she's struggling to try and find the words, both physically and mentally.] How they still follow her, even if she's not around. Why go and claim to be under her when you don't even know if she cares, or can do anything?

[A pause, and then he starts talking, sounding reassuring and level as he can.]
You're actually running into a very familiar problem that humans have back home, you know! You see, back home, humans do not know of God like I do. They have never seen Him, and yet, somehow, many believe in His existence. But why believe in something they have not seen with their own eyes? Why go to Church and pray to Him if they aren't sure that He is even listening? Indeed, many do not believe He exists, even though I know better, but it's not like I can go down and tell them of His existence, I'm forbidden to. They are supposed to decide for themselves whether to follow His word or not.
You see, miss, there's something called faith. It's a curious thing! What the angels on your world have is exactly that, and while it may cause you to pause and wonder why they follow this sleeping goddess, for them, it's simply what they believe in. They believe that someday she'll wake, or maybe that in her mind, she thinks of them, or maybe she still watches even though her mind is not conscious. You can't exactly question why people believe in what they do. They simply do, and if their faith, their loyalty they have decided to put into a god or goddess is strong, then it will be hard indeed to prove that what they believe in is false or unworthy to believe in.
That's just what faith is all about, miss.

Why put a belief in something you don't know will happen, or change? It's completely illogical and sounds stupid.

No, faith goes beyond logic, even, and the people who have faith will not be dissuaded by simple mathematical equations or theorems on the universe. Their belief transcends all that.
